Terms and Conditions

FOR OVERSEAS TOURS

 

  1. DEPOSITS
    • All bookings will be on first come first served basis.
    • A minimum deposit is required during the booking process in order to hold any tentative reservation on a confirmed basis.
  2. Payment Policy:
    Upon booking - SGD 500 per person is required (This is for tour prices that are more than SGD 500. For all tour prices that are less than SGD 500, full payment is required at booking.)

    Upon booking confirmation - 50% of full package price

    14 days before departure - 100% of full package

    • Payment of deposit does not constitute confirmation of the tour. All group tours are subjected to a minimum group size (as determined by the Co-operative) in order for the confirmation to be effected and for departure to be finalized. Full payment is required no later than 14 days prior to departure.
    • In the event where our travel partners impose a non-refundable deposit e.g. for peak travel season such as Christmas and New Year, the deposit amount requirement would be informed duly and supersedes the amount outlined above.
    • SH works with independent tour operators who may have their own terms & conditions. In cases like these, the applicable terms and conditions may vary from the terms stated above.

     

  3. CANCELLATION CHARGES AND REFUND
    • Within 30 days of departure, deposits are non-refundable and the following cancellation charges shall apply.

      30 days or more before departure - 50% of deposit
      Refund due is 50% of deposit

      8 – 30 days before departure - 50% of tour fare
      Refund due is the remaining balance after deducting this amount.

      7 days before departure - 100% of full package

    • Any cancellation made by a client must be in writing.
    • All refunds will be expedited but may take 3 months to process according to administrative procedures. All refunds will be made by cheque or money order.
    • For flight cancellations, please refer to the terms and conditions governed by the airline.

  5. FINAL PAYMENT
    • Once the trip has been confirmed, an invoice will be sent stating the final payment and payment due date. It is the responsibility of the client to make sure that SH receives the payment by the due date, failure of which may render the forfeiture of the deposit.

  7. PASSPORT AND VISA
  • It is the responsibility of the client to make sure that he/she has the relevant travel documents such as valid passport (minimum 6 months' validity), Visas, work permits, etc.

     

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIABILITIES
  • It is the responsibility of the client to make sure that he/she has the necessary travel insurance. There is also an indemnity form to sign on the registration form.
