02 / 06 Nov Fri Tokyo / Fuji – Kawaguchiko | After breakfast, check out and board our coach for 2.5hr transfer to Lake Kawaguchiko. Arriving at the shore of Lake Kawaguchiko, we enjoy some time of the scenic sights before lunch. In the afternoon, we coach to Arakurayama Sengen Park for the quintessential view of Mt. Fuji framed by red maple leaves (Arakurayama Sengen Park is beautiful in early November, but the ~400 steps to the Pagoda are challenging). Seniors can enjoy the Sengen Shrine and lower park area without climbing. Then spend some time at the Maple Leaf Corridor (Momiji Kairo), where hundreds of maples create a stunning red tunnel. We visit the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, known for its unique kimono art, breathtaking architecture, and beautiful, foliage-filled gardens. And finally we visit Oishi Park, famous for its panoramic lake views and autumn kochia bushes (turning red/brown). Check into our hotel to freshen up before dinner at hotel and rest.

03 / 07 Nov Sat Kawaguchiko | Leisure breakfast at hotel. Programme today focuses on the scenic highlights of Lake Kawaguchiko, featuring panoramic mountain views and seasonal fruit picking. Ascend Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (also known as the Kachi Kachi Ropeway) to reach the observatory at 1,075 metres. Enjoy 360-degree views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. Visit the “Bell of Heaven” at the top, where it is said ringing makes wishes come true. After lunch, board the Lake Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Boat for a 20-minute cruise. The upper deck offers expansive views of Mt. Fuji reflected on the water, especially striking during the autumn foliage season. We end of day with a visit to a Fruit Park for an all-you-can-eat and Mikan orange picking experience. We enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to our hotel.

04 / 08 Nov Sun Kawaguchiko
| Following a leisure breakfast, we board our coach for sights on Fuji Five Lakes’ western side. First enjoy the tranquility of Lake Saiko with autumn foliage and a quick photo stop. Then at Iyashi no Sato Nenba: Explore the traditional village. Optional session to try on traditional Kimono or Samurai armor. Enjoy views of Mt. Fuji framing the restored houses. Following lunch, we visit a local farm for seasonal apple picking. We end our day with Scenic Photo Stops at Lake Shoji & Lake Motosu: Lake Shoji: Known as the “Switzerland of Japan” for its panoramic Fuji views. Lake Motosu: Photograph the iconic view featured on the 1000 yen note. Dinner at a local restaurant before returning to our hotel to rest.

05 / 09 Nov Mon Kawaguchiko / Hakone | After breakfast we check out this morning at 0900hrs. We start our day at Oshino Hakkai, a historic village, featuring eight crystal-clear spring ponds fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji. Stroll among traditional thatched-roof houses and sample local snacks like kusamochi. Then experience the novelty of the Kaba Amphibious Bus, which drives directly from the land into Lake Yamanaka. This 30-minute excursion offers 360-degree views of Mount Fuji from the water. After lunch, we visit Hana no Miyako Park where the park’s 300,000 square meters are blanketed in millions of pink, white, and orange cosmos flowers contrasting against the massive silhouette of Mount Fuji providing iconic photo opportunities (while flowers peak earlier, the autumn leaves (momiji) in the Hakone and Fuji areas are usually most vibrant from early to mid-November). Following dinner, we then head on to Hakone via National Route 138 to hot spring town of Hakone for overnight.

06 / 10 Nov Tue Hakone / Tokyo | After a leisurely breakfast, we check out and bid farewell to Fuji area as we coach to Tokyo (2 hrs), reaching for lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon, we drop by the 300-meter Meiji Jinggu Gingko Avenue lined with 146 golden ginkgo trees leading to the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery. Take a walk, take photos, or visit one of the cafés lining the avenue that often offer outdoor seating for a prime view of the golden leaves that is a quintessential Tokyo autumn scene. We then check into our hotel and freshen up before assembling for dinner at a local restaurant. This evening we return to our hotel in the Greater Tokyo Area to rest.

07 / 11 Nov Wed Tokyo | A leisurely breakfast before we board our coach and transfer into the heart of Tokyo (Tokyo as a megacity holds a population of 33.4 million). Today, experience an authentic Sumo wrestling show combined with a hearty Chanko Nabe (hot pot) lunch, hosted by former professional wrestlers. Watch live demonstrations, interaction with wrestlers, and photo opportunities. For the rest of the day, let’s explore Asakusa, Tokyo’s premier traditional district, centered around the iconic Senso-ji Temple and bustling Nakamise-dori, a historic 250-meter shopping street leading to the temple, packed with nearly 90 shops offering traditional snacks like ningyo-yaki (small cakes) and senbei (rice crackers). Explore centuries-old shops, enjoy traditional snacks, and experience historical Tokyo vibes. We assemble for dinner at a local restaurant before returning to our hotel for a good night rest.
