FAQ

All Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who are aged 40 and above, and who like to travel with other seniors. Person who has a permanent residential address in Singapore will be considered.

There are 3 types of membership –Ordinary, Associate and Institutional membership.

Ordinary Membership
1. Pay entrance fee of $80
2. Subscribe 20 shares at $50 per share, equivalent to $1,000 (refundable on resignation after 2 years subject to By-Law 4.9)
3. Enjoy travel privileges as accorded to members
4. Participate in dividend distribution, if any
5. Participate in bonus issue, if any
6. Participate at general meetings and any other meetings as called
7. Exercise 1 vote irrespective of number of shares held
8. Stand for election to hold office in Executive Committee
9. Be co-opted to hold office in Executive Committee

Associate membership
1. Pay entrance fee of $80
2. Subscribe 1 share at $50 per share (refundable on resignation after 2 years subject to By-Law 4.9)
3. Enjoy travel privileges as accorded to members
4. Participate in dividend distribution, if any

Institutional Membership
1. Open to trade unions and other co-operatives
2. Share subscription is capped at 20% of paid up capital of Co-operative
3. Participate in dividend distribution, if any
4. Participate in bonus issue, if any
5. Appoint 1 delegate to exercise 1 vote irrespective of number of shares held
6. Delegate can participate at general meeting and any other meetings as called
7. Delegate can stand for election to hold office in Executive Committee
8. Delegate can be co-opted to hold office in Executive Committee

Every member, on admission, may obtain a copy of the By-Laws of the Co-operative upon request.

If payment is by internet bank transfer, please credit the respective amount to OCBC Bank a/c: 641-444-799-001. You can also use your bank mobile app "PAYNOW" to pay by entering UEN No. T12CS0001H. Please indicate your name in the transaction reference and contact Mr Victor Seow (Whatsapp mobile: 81682086; email: enquiry@silverhorizontravel.com) with details of your transaction.

If payment is by cheque, please make cheque payable to: Silver Horizon Travel Co-operative Ltd. Do also write our account no (641-444-799-001) at the back of the cheque and drop the cheque off into any OCBC Quick Cheque Deposit box.

By any of the following:
1. By resignation subject to By-law 4.9
2. Permanent removal of residence from Singapore
3. Expulsion subject to By-Law 4.10
4. Death
Any member who is not liable to the Co-operative and who has been with the Co-operative for 2 years may resign on giving 3 months’ notice of resignation in writing. The share refund will be at nominal value or current book value, whichever is lower, paid 2 months after completion of the audited accounts.

We welcome any relatives and friends of yours to join in the travel programmes but do note that they can only participate at non-member prices. You can encourage them to join as members to enjoy the many benefits.

We will also organize pre and post travel activities, members’ gatherings and other caring and wellness events to promote bonding, interaction and foster friendship amongst members.
