Upon arrival Fukuoka, proceed to Sasebo, enjoy your Kujuku shima Cruise ride. The word “kujuku” literally means “99” but has come to refer to a vast number or something uncountable. In truth, there are 208 islands off the coast of Sasebo, the largest concentration of islands anywhere in Japan.
Thereafter head to Nagasaki, visit Chinatown. Mt Inasa (night view includes ropeway)

After breakfast, proceed to Shimabara and take a ferry ride across the Ariake Sea to Kumamoto, enjoying scenic coastal views along the way.
Upon arrival, visit Suizenji Jojuen Garden, a beautiful traditional Japanese landscape garden from the Edo period, featuring a miniature representation of the Tōkaidō Road, tranquil ponds, arched bridges, and a serene atmosphere.
Next, visit Kumamoto Castle , one of Japan’s most impressive and historically significant castles. Originally built in the early 17th century, the castle is renowned for its massive stone walls, elegant design, and deep connection to Japan’s samurai history.
Thereafter head to Kagoshima.

After breakfast, visit Tenmonkan Shopping Street, Kagoshima’s most vibrant downtown area, lined with local boutiques, souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants, offering a lively atmosphere and a taste of local culture.
Next, proceed to the Shiroyama Park Observation Platform, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Kagoshima City and Sakurajima Volcano, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes.
Then, take a cruise to Sakurajima, crossing Kagoshima Bay. Upon arrival, visit Lava Road, a scenic walking path formed by solidified lava flows, providing a close-up view of the island’s dramatic volcanic landscape.
Thereafter, proceed to visit Kagoshima Black Vinegar facilities in Fukuyama, where you can learn about the traditional fermentation process and the history of this renowned local specialty.

After breakfast, proceed to Kirishima and visit Devil’s Washboard (Oni no Sentakuita), a unique natural rock formation along the coast, shaped by wave erosion into striking, rib-like patterns.
Next, visit Aoshima Shrine, a picturesque Shinto shrine located on a small island surrounded by subtropical vegetation. The shrine is dedicated to marriage and relationships and is connected to the mainland by a pedestrian bridge.
Thereafter, head to Miyazaki and visit Sun Messe Nichinan, home to the famous Moai statues, officially recognized replicas of the Moai on Easter Island. Set against the Pacific Ocean, the site offers scenic coastal views and cultural interest.

After breakfast, proceed to visit Takachiho Gorge, a breathtaking natural gorge famous for its sheer volcanic cliffs, lush greenery, and the emerald waters of the Gokase River. The area is well known for its scenic walking paths and dramatic waterfalls.
Next, head to Aso and visit Kusasenri, a vast green grassland located at the foot of Mount Aso, offering beautiful open landscapes with grazing cattle and horses set against the backdrop of volcanic peaks.
Continue to the green pasturelands at the foot of Mount Aso, where you can enjoy the serene countryside scenery and fresh mountain air.
If weather conditions permit, take a bus up Mount Aso to view the active volcanic crater and experience one of Japan’s most iconic volcanic landscapes.

After breakfast, visit Kuju Flower Park (subject to weather conditions), a vast highland flower park offering seasonal blooms set against the scenic backdrop of the Kuju mountain range.
Thereafter, proceed to Beppu, one of Japan’s most famous hot spring towns. Upon arrival, visit Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Hell Pond), the oldest of Beppu’s “Hells,” known for its striking red-colored, iron-rich hot spring.
Next, visit Tatsumaki Jigoku (Spout Hell), a rare geyser-type hot spring that erupts at regular intervals, showcasing the powerful geothermal activity of the area.

Thereafter, proceed to Fukuoka and visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, one of Japan’s most important Shinto shrines, dedicated to the deity of learning and scholarship.
End the day with shopping at Canal City Hakata, a large canal-side shopping and entertainment complex, followed by free time at Tenjin Shopping Street, Fukuoka’s main shopping and dining district.
