Drop by the MAG Visitor Centre.  The Mines Advisory Group is a global humanitarian and advocacy organization that finds, removes and destroys landmines, cluster munitions and unexploded bombs from places affected by conflict.  We then visit the Lao National Museum to learn about the rich history of Laos and the remarkable story of Laos' path to independence.  After lunch, we visit COPE, a small museum packed with information about its ongoing efforts to help those injured by UXO.  Back to hotel to rest before this evening, we enjoy dinner at a local popular restaurant along the Mekong River.

Day 3

Enjoy the rural scenery via modern highway as we leave Vientiane. A relaxing day to explore the surroundings of this remote sanctuary, sitting in the shadows of stunning green mountains and cliffs. Admire the incredible view of the dense greenery and limestone karsts.  We visit Tham Nangfa Cave and watch activities along the Nam Song river such as tubing, kayaking, zip lining and air ballooning.  After dinner free time to explore the walking street market. .>0s, Phonsavan is known for its green hillsides, and forests of pine trees. Villages of colourful wooden houses dot the picturesque countryside. Lunch at a wayside town restaurant before we climb via winding and rugged roads to Phonsavan.  Explore the mysterious UNESCO Plains of Jars (Site 2), easily Asia’s most ancient sights and surroundings

Day 5

Giant rock barrels or pots are strewn in clusters around Phonsavan, Laos. How did they get there? Who or what put them there? How did they put them there from kilometers away and put them on top of hills? Researchers have only begun to research these enigmatic vessels because the Vietnam War and other wars kept the area isolated until the 1990s when researchers started to arrive. But only recently have many new clusters been identified, and the culture that made them is still unknown.

Explore Site 1 of the Plains of Jars. After exploring the Plains of Jars, we depart for the UNESCO Heritage City of Luang Prabang, once the royal capital of Laos in 1353AD. The travel to Luang Prabang (305msl) via Phou Khoun is tedious, with isolated hill tribe communities and there are lots of mountains and valleys on the route in between. Visit the colourful Night Walking Street.

Day 6

This morning if you are up for a top attraction in Luang Prabang is alms-giving ceremony, a longstanding tradition in Laos Buddhist culture dating back to the 14th century. It takes place daily as the sun rises, beginning on the main street of Luang Prabang before spreading out to all the side streets (Proper conduct shall be briefed before hundreds of monks embark on collecting their alms)..

For those who wish to explore more of Luang Prabang, it is a very easy town to stroll around. Later get ready to be transfer to the lovely Kuang Si waterfalls, outside of town. Lunch is served before hoping on a buggy to view the falls. A sunset dinner cruise on the Mekong River.

Day 7

A relaxing morning or visit the morning market & the largest royal temple, Wat Xieng Thong before we check out for lunch. Transfer to the railway station for our HSR journey back to Vientiane.
