8-Day Beijing & Qingdao Autumn Experience

Day 1:          12 Oct 2025  Sun    Singapore/Beijing  SQ 802   0830/1440            Lunch on board/D

Assemble at 06:30 at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Row 3 for flight  check in to Beijing on Singapore Airline. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic view of two iconic Olympic landmarks—the Bird’s Nest( Beijing National Stadium ) and The Water Cube (Beijing National Aquatics Center). After dinner, check into the hotel and rest.

Explore the Summer Palace, China’s largest and best-preserved imperial garden, known for its harmonious layout of lakes, pavilions, bridges, and landscaped gardens. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Kunming Lake, which offers picturesque views of Longevity Hill and the iconic Seventeen-Arch Bridge.

Afterwards, visit the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held grand ceremonies to pray for good harvests. Marvel at the architectural perfection of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and experience the unique acoustic effects of the Echo Wall.

Today, visit Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world and a symbol of modern China. Then explore the Forbidden City, the magnificent former imperial palace that served as the home of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. Walk through grand halls and intricate courtyards, and discover the rich history and architectural splendor of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely trishaw ride through the narrow alleys, or hutongs, of old Beijing — a charming glimpse into traditional local life. Visit a historic courtyard home (siheyuan) to learn about Beijing’s

unique residential culture. End the afternoon with a peaceful stroll along Shichahai Lake, surrounded by willow trees, historic temples, and old bridges, offering a perfect contrast to the city's modern rhythm.

 Take a cable car ride up to the Badaling section of the Great Wall, the most iconic and well-preserved part of this world wonder. As you walk along its ancient stone steps and watchtowers, take in sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and imagine the incredible history behind this symbol of Chinese strength and resilience.

After lunch, head to a local orchard in the peaceful countryside. Experience the joy of fruit picking. Learn about seasonal fruits, enjoy the fresh air, and even taste freshly harvested produce — a fun and refreshing way to connect with rural life.

 In the morning, take a high-speed train to Qingdao and enjoy a bento-style lunch on board as you travel comfortably through scenic countryside.

Upon arrival, begin your exploration with a leisurely walk along historic Silberfisch Street, a charming lane that reflects Qingdao’s German colonial past with its well-preserved European-style buildings, cobblestone paths, and unique architectural details. This area offers a glimpse into the city’s multicultural heritage.

Next, visit the iconic Zhanqiao Pier, one of Qingdao’s most recognizable landmarks. Extending into the sea, the pier offers picturesque coastal views and is a perfect spot for photos

In the evening, savor a classic Qingdao-style steam pot seafood dinner

Begin the day at Xiaoyushan Park, a serene hilltop garden offering a stunning panoramic view of Qingdao’s signature red-tiled rooftops, lush greenery, and the shimmering blue sea. It’s the perfect spot to appreciate the city’s blend of German colonial charm and coastal beauty.

From there, stroll along the cultural trail to the historic Yushan Campus of Ocean University of China, known for its beautiful European-style architecture and academic atmosphere. Continue to Longjiang Road, a colorful and lively street filled with local art, charming cafes, and unique boutiques that reflect Qingdao’s creative spirit.

Next, visit the iconic St. Michael’s Cathedral, a majestic Gothic-style church built in the 1930s, and a symbol of Qingdao’s colonial past. Step inside to admire its stained glass windows and tranquil interior.

Conclude your day at May Fourth Square, a modern city landmark named after the patriotic May Fourth Movement, and take in the seaside charm of the Olympic Sailing Center — a legacy of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where modern architecture meets coastal elegance.

Day 7:          18 Oct 2025  Sat      Qingdao                                                                                B/L/D

Visit Zhongshan Park, a tranquil city oasis especially beautiful during osmanthus season, when the air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming trees.

Next, stroll through the Badaguan Scenic Area, known for its peaceful tree-lined avenues and over 200 European-style villas built during the German and other foreign concessions. Each street is named after a famous Chinese military fort, and the architecture reflects a unique blend of Eastern and Western aesthetics, making it one of Qingdao’s most charming and romantic spots.

Then, dive into Qingdao’s rich beer culture with a visit to the Tsingtao Beer Museum, located on the site of the original 1903 German brewery. Learn about the history of one of China’s most famous beer brands, see vintage brewing equipment, and enjoy a fresh draft straight from the source.

Wrap up the day with a scenic subway ride through Laoshan’s “Ten-Mile Gallery,” a stunning route along the coastline and mountains. Admire views of the sea, cliffs, and lush greenery — a relaxing and picturesque way to end your Qingdao adventure.
