In 2024 the Silver Horizon members managed to organise and visit eight countries, within 20 tours. Most of the tours were well planned and travellers had a good time experiencing the incredible sights, making new friends, helping each other, and looking forward to new tours. The most memorable tour was Mongolia. The land of blue skies and endless rolling grasslands. It was a very rich and unforgettable experience; the memories will remain with us for a long time.
The other unforgettable tours were to Komodo islands, Sri Lanka, Xiamen, Lijiang Shangri-la, Aomori Japan and Guangzhou. (See some photos attached.)
In 2024 we restarted the tours to China, after a long hiatus due to covid. We were fortunate to have found a good travel agency that provided excellent services for seniors, over and beyond our expectations. We will definitely call upon this super TA for more China exploration and experience. However, we must remind ourselves not to take advantage of the kindness displayed. Not to be demanding and difficult, especially when problems arise during the tours. We are reasonable people! Not entitled creatures!
Although we are seniors, we are still eager to see the world through well organised tours. And remember that in most tours, expect to walk miles, climb up and down steps, taste local cuisines, and carry your own luggage. We still can do it. Cheers! On the other hand, we are looking into organising more stay-put experience in places, to explore the beautiful environment, take nature walks, learn some art/product making and just relax and enjoy each other's' company. Looking forward to a mix of tours. Cheers again!
