Arrive in Vilnius with AY1101. Be met by our English-speaking guide at the airport and transfer to the city for a sightseeing tour.

City tour of the Old Town, the medieval heart of Vilnius

The highlight of Vilnius is the Cathedral Square consecrated in 1783. It is Lithuania's premier Roman Catholic church. Moreover, its mausoleum is the final resting place for some notable figures throughout history, including grand dukes of Lithuania and even King Alexander of Poland. On the tour we see the Gediminas Tower, the 15th-century St. Anne's Church, Vilnius University, the oldest university in the Baltics, the Gate of Dawn, and the city's medieval defensive fortification, built around a chapel that remains a major Catholic pilgrimage site in Lithuania. Then transfer to our hotel for check-in follows by lunch at hotel.

The afternoon is free time for relaxation until dinner with a folklore show in the city. Be invited to taste ethnic Lithuanian delicacies, surprise yourself with new tastes, to indulge in a variety of local drinks, play the drums or sing a part in a live folk music performance and get your legs loose in ethnic dancing. Enjoy an opportunity to taste national cuisine meals and watch, listen and participate in the professional folk band show. Overnight in Vilnius.

Excursion to Trakai

Following breakfast in hotel, we go for a morning tour to Trakai, the former capital of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, with its beautiful insular castle of the 14th century, situated on an island in the middle of a lake. You visit the legendary castle and have a boat ride around them. During the tour to Trakai, you also become acquainted with the story of the small ethnic group, the Karaim. This community has preserved a distinct identity for well over 600 years, safeguarding its language, traditions, and religion. Lunch at a traditional Karaite restaurant and savoring traditional Karaite pastry, Kybynlar.

Return to Vilnius with some free time. Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight in Vilnius

Vilnius – Pzaislis – Rumsiskes - Kaunas

 

 

 

After the breakfast, we check out and head towards Kaunas. First stop is the historic Pazaislis Monastery, a 17th-century establishment by the Camalduli monks, a remarkable Baroque architectural masterpiece in Lithuania, famous for its stunning frescoes and serene location by the Kaunas Reservoir.

Continue your trip to Rumsiskes outdoor Ethnographic Museum. Covering a total of 176 hectares, the Museum offers an understanding of the architecture, traditions, crafts and lifestyle of farmers at the end of 18th - 19th centuries. The museum boasts an impressive collection of old houses, farms, schools, pubs and mills representing the major regions of the country. Lunch at museum before we continue drive and arrive at Kaunas for hotel check-in. Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Kaunas

Kaunas - Klaipeda

After the breakfast, our trip continues with the second largest city in Lithuania - colorful, modern, and constantly changing city of Kaunas. A small and compact city, nevertheless, full of original architectural sites, dating back to various historical periods, attracts travelers with its unique cultural heritage sites: impressive remains of Kaunas Castle, Vytautas the Great Church which located in a very beautiful place - on the right bank of the Nemunas river, Kaunas Town Hall Square, called the white Swan, the Laisves Aleja pedestrian avenue (the Avenue of Liberty). After lunch in Kaunas, we drive to Klaipeda - a charming coastal city known for its maritime heritage and lively atmosphere.

Afternoon arrival at Klaipeda. Check into our hotel with time for relaxation & refresh.

Finish our day with a guided tour of Klaipeda, a charming coastal city known for its maritime heritage and lively atmosphere. Walk through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, dotted with half-timbered buildings and whimsical sculptures. Visit the Theatre Square, home to the iconic "Ann from Tharau" fountain, and learn about Klaipeda's fascinating history as a trading port. Stroll along the Dane River promenade and see the famous swing bridge and restored warehouses.

Excursion to Curonian Spit

After breakfast, we start our morning with a trip to Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique sand dunes and stunning landscapes. It is only a 10 min ferry ride from Klaipeda and you cross the lagoon. We head towards Juodkrante where we take a walk on the enchanting Witches' Hill, a wooded trail featuring over 80 wooden sculptures depicting characters from Lithuanian folklore. This mystical path blends nature and mythology, creating a captivating experience.

Continue to Nida, a small former fishermen village. Visit the impressive Parnidis Dune, a towering sand dune that offers panoramic views of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. Then, immerse ourselves in the endless mysteries of Lithuanian gold - amber by visiting Amber Gallery Museum. Explore the historic Lutheran Church and its serene cemetery. marked by traditional wooden crosses. Lunch in Nida with local delicacy fish tasting. Dinner at hotel or city restaurant. Overnight in Klaipeda

Klaipeda – Hill of Crosses – Rundale – Riga (Latvia)

After breakfast, travel towards Riga. Make our first stop at the Hill of Crosses, one of the most sacred places in Catholic Lithuania.

After crossing into Latvia, visit the magnificent baroque Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland designed by Italian architect Rastrelli, who also designed the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg. Lunch at Rundale Palace.

After a tour of the palace, continue through the rolling hills of southern Latvia to reach Riga by late afternoon. Check-in hotel and enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Riga

Riga – Jurmala - Riga

After breakfast, we start our city sightseeing of Riga, highlighting the city's major landmarks including the historic Old Town. With over 800 years of history and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Old Riga is the heart of Latvia's capital. Explore iconic sites such as the Dome Cathedral, the architectural gem of the Three Brothers, the House of the Black Heads, and St. Peter's Church. You also visit Riga Central Market, one of Europe's largest, located in five former Zeppelin hangars. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as you browse a wide array of fresh produce, cheeses, fish, smoked meats, honey, and seasonal delicacies. Enjoy lunch in one of Riga's restaurants.

After lunch, go on a half-a-day trip to Jurmala, Latvia's premier seaside resort town. Admire the pristine beaches, known for their fine white sand and the fresh scent of pine trees carried by the coastal breeze. Wander through streets lined with charming wooden architecture, showcasing intricate designs that reflect the town's historical elegance

In the evening return to Riga. Dinner at hotel or city restaurant. Overnight in Riga

Riga – Sigulda – Parnu – Tallinn (Estonia)

After breakfast. head to Gauja National Park and the historic town of Sigulda, located within the park.

You visit Sigulda, a picturesque town nestled in the Gauja River Valley. Next, explore Gutman's Cave, the largest cave in the Baltic States, which is steeped in both natural beauty and local legends. Continue to the historic Turaida Castle and Museum, where you can learn about the region's medieval history and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and river valley. Lastly, proceed on our journey to Tallinn.

On the way stop in Parnu, the Estonian Baltic Sea resort-a jewel in Estonia's seaside crown. The town boasts well-preserved historic architecture, seaside promenades, and a laid-back ambiance. making it a popular destination for relaxation and leisure. Lunch in Parnu before we continue to Tallinn. In the evening arrival at Tallinn. Check in at old town hotel with dinner at hotel. Overnight in Tallinn.

This morning, embark on a city sightseeing of Tallinn's Old Town, renowned for its charming cobblestone streets, red rooftops, and medieval and Gothic architecture. It is one of the best-preserved old towns in Northern Europe. Explore Town Hall Pharmacy, Europe's oldest continuously operating pharmacy, open since 1422, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, a Russian Orthodox church and other highlights.

Lunch in the city. After lunch explore the baroque Kadriorg Palace and its calm and tranquil park. The Kadriorg Palace is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture built in the 18th century and houses the Estonian Art Museum's collection of foreign art - Western European and Russian art from the sixteenth to the twentieth century.

Dinner in the old town restaurant. Overnight in Tallinn.

Tallinn – Helsinki (Finland)

Arter breakfast, check-out and tour the Estonian Open-Air Museum, recreating rural Estonian life with traditional farmsteads, windmills, and cultural exhibits set in a natural forested environment.

At 13:00 board a ferry ride and cross the sea to Helsinki, the capital of Finland, also known as Land of a Thousand Lakes. Go on a city tour and head to one of Helsinki's landmarks, Sibelius Monument. Continue on to the lively Market Square and view Helsinki's administrative centre, Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenski Cathedral, Government Palace and Sederholm House, the city's oldest stone building. Enjoy free time to explore Helsinki at your leisure

21:30 Departure transfer to the Helsinki airport for check in.
